I was at the JY today and spotted a mid '90's Cutlass Supreme. It was bright red with gold emblems, lip spoiler and cloth interior.

I grabbed the emblems and the lip spoiler (the tails were already gone) I couldn't get the hood open to see what engine it had, I assume probably a 3100 since it did not have DOHC emblems. The Collectors Edition emblems were in the same place the International emblems would have been.

What was so special about these cars? I only grabbed the emblems for my emblem collection.

Only 2 3100 cars came with a lip spoiler (save for the 1997s.)

The only 3.1 cars to get a lip spoiler were Internationals.

I could have been a 3.1 International...Did the I series emblem come out of the same car?

Naw, the International emblem came off a different car from a long time ago at the yard.

So consensus is this is probably a DOHC car and not a '97? I guess Icoulda looked at the door sticker but I was freezing.

The first Cutlass was made in 1961, so if this car wasnt a 1991 (which it isnt) then the guy who installed this package is a doucher, almost as much of one as the guy who took the badges off this car in the junk yard.
