Strange 3100 issue -- No start after motor swap

First off, Great site. I've been lurking for years, but haven't had anything post worthy.

 

I just picked up a 95 Monte Carlo with a bad 3100.

Swapped in a known-to-be-good 3100 from a wrecked 95 Grand Prix

Now the Monte won't run on its own.

Its getting fuel, the injectors are firing, and it has spark

It will fire off starting fluid, but immediately dies out

Won't start on its own

 

Any ideas?

fuel pump.

 

if it's firing off with starting fluid it can't be getting fuel or enough to run.

 

have you tested the fuel pressure? what's the fuel pressure with the key on?

x2 the above post... I have also seen clogged fuel injectors cause this also
