I need to replace the ignition switch on my '92 Euro. If I go by the book, I'll have to remove the column from the car. I'd rather not do this if possible.

Has anyone done this R&R without removing the column?

TIA

I think he is refrenceing the actual switch, which is mounted on the top of the column near the bottom.

in which case you need to lower the column. just 4 13mm fasteners and it is down.

Thanks, guys. Yes, I was referring to the switch down at the bottom of the column.
