Fog Lights Don't Work - 99 Regal

Both fog lamps on my recently acquired Regal do not work. So far I've determined that its not the bulbs, its not the switch, its not the relay or the fuse. Anything else I'm missing before I start tracing wires?

this may sound stupid. But make sure your headlamp brights are not turned on.

Hey, likely scenario.....but no, low beams or parking lights.....fogs don't work.

Did you check the sockets? Check first of all that they are clean, and check for voltage with a Multimeter.

When my fog lamps didn't work it was because of the flasher.

 

If there is no power going to them might be a short somewhere.

Guess the only other option is to crack open that loom and see what there is to see. I want fog lights!

make sure the car is not in "parade mode" the interior lights cannot be illuminated at the max level wile using fog lamps check the rheostat or potentiometer for the dimmer switch and make sure its not that max position!

Mine would only work with the brights on, When I put in a new flasher they worked correctly with the brights off.

So I consulted the owners manual, nothing in there about parade mode. Foglights don't seem to be affected with the setting on the dimmer switch...either way they don't work.
