Alright, since I'm kind of new to this whole forced induction thing. My brother has a 99 Regal GS with about half as many miles on it as my GSE. I noticed when driving his car today that his supercharger whine is more pronounced than my car's. He has a K&N intake on the car, but that's it. Are some of these superchargers just nosier than others? My boost guage reads normal....think I've had it up to about 9lbs. His car does seem to pull a bit harder, which I would expect with the difference in mileage.

Nah, no intake. Does an aftermarket intake really make the superchager whine louder?

absolutely....you can barely hear any whine at all with the stock airbox

Huh, I never would have guessed. I know with the stock airbox out you get that cool....ummm...sucking air noise, but I didn't think it would have any effect on the supercharger whine.

The build the intakes to make them as quiet as possible.

Most normal people dont wanna here the whine.

But we are not normal people

How can you not want to hear the whine? Why buy a supercharged car then?

I can agree with this. My buddy put a Wizaird intake on his car and it was a complete difference in super charger whine!
