DefEddie
Just bought this car. I plan to put the powertrain into my 88 fiero. Know nothing of these cars,i'm reading but educate me? Guy's at Pennock's say to just make it a driver. I don't need another project,so don't really see it happening. But,as a car enthusiast I figured I owed you guy's to at least post it up. No title, told it was parked due to something wrong with the "supercharger thingy" and that they took a pulley off it to put on another car. I was told by someone else it needed a wastegate. Looks totally intact except for small stuff, would actually clean up real nice. Probably just sell the rolling chassis after the powertrain is pulled. GOT2B GM
N* or 3.4 DOHC swap the Fiero and call it a day.......thats what I plan to eventually do to my 88 Fiero GT .
Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Another wasted TGP, with a new owner that dont even wanna try
DefEddie
It's a car buddy, just a car. The fact that it was a factory car with some nice options isn't a big deal. If it's that special, find me the car I was looking for to do the swap. I bought this car for $50,to me this is a $50 car that will save me a buttload buying a wrecked impala SS to change my engine before it blows. I also save money on mounts and any number of other things. I'm all for saving collectables, but to me it's just got all the parts I want for the right price. And honestly if your attitude is indicative of how the TGP community is to people that show an interest in the car, then no wonder people just waste them and don't wanna try. Chill out,and get some perspective on life kid. It's a car. If it's worth so much to you,buy it from me. I need enough to replace the powertrain and swap mounts,AC lines etc... And with the money I was gonna save,I wanted to upgrade my daughters . So throw a little more on there for that. Sorry for the rant, but long day and I was trying to be friendly-not stereotyped and talked down to pontiac6ksteawd.
Twenty
It's only because these cars are so wanted and sought-after, that's why you got such a response. People here would kill to get a TGP for $50, in any condition. Yes, it's just a car, but they're getting harder and harder to find and weren't plentiful to begin with. Integra Type-Rs are more common. It is your car, so you can do as you please, but it's an extremely valued car by those who know what it is and respect it for that. Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Wasnt talking down to you man.... Maybe I coulda said it diferently, I will give you that.. But there were only 5000ish made of this vehicle. Most were junked because the brakes went bad. Just have a fond place for these cars. Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Looks to be a Tan Cloth interior.. One of the rarer options too, I think...
tunerlover3
There is no "supercharger thingy" because this thing isnt supercharged. Its a turbo 3.1 MPFI V6. I personally would not put that engine in a Fiero. There are easier swaps that will probably be faster and cheaper. 3400, N*, L36 or L67. I would fix up this car and make a HUGE profit. or Part it out to the W body and TGP world and make a lot of money.
Twenty
Or sell the rolling chassis to someone here to restore it.

DefEddie
Yes,it's tan interior "supercharger thingy" is what the owners mother called it. I'm aware of the engine this has in it,and the difference between turbochargers and superchargers. I'm in Sallisaw,Ok. Nope, turbo's and superchargers do a similar job in different ways by different methods. I'm not really out to get rich with this thing. It's just something I picked up to get a job done. Once I get what I need I'll part the rest out,and for reasonable prices. I will try to keep it complete as possible and sell as a rolling chassis. Addicted to eaton
I want the complete body kit... im willing to come get it!
White93z34
should be a good parts car, hell it looks to be in better shape then my TGP under all that dirt. but no title is a pretty big difference between "parts car" and "project car". I would love to see said fiero when its all done. Chances are aprox 100% that the crossover pipe is leaking, GOT2BGM here is working on making replacements for them. I know I'll be interested in some parts off of it whenever you get to that stage. But since this isn't the for sale section, lets not dilute his thread with parts dreaming, that's what the For sale section is for. but it's an extremely valued car by those who know what it is and respect it for that. Not even. Not many people here are even willing to pay much for a mint one, let alone fix one that could need a $600 master cyl, and a $300 crossover pipe
Garrett Powered
prices have come down on some of the stuff actually. $350-$500 for a remanned PMIII. SIA sold me a brand new rebuilt one for $350. I have been picking up old used Jeff M x-overs for $150-$250. I got 3 now. no need to pay much for a mint TGP... they are only around $2000- $5000. many are willing to pay it. lots of people here already have. that is not that much to pay for what you get really. some people get insanely good deals on them. I would buy a decent one and have that for parts!!

DefEddie
Yeah,I was wondering about that. After he mentioned that I looked up some different TGP prices. Not sure where the huge profit would be,see these cars going for about the price of fiero's. Like someone mentioned, this isn't a for sale ad yet-if your interested in parts feel free to pm or email me. But I will not be selling anything quite yet,not even sure what will happen for positive. If someone is nearby me,let me know though-I'm not a salesman i'm an enthusiast. I have no issue with someone picking what they need from it. I will make sure it doesn't just get sent to scrap and crushed. I'm not out for money,so after i'm done I have no issue with someone picking up the chassis. Maybe it will save a rusted out TGP from certain death.

Addicted2bass
Is the TGP parked at your house in the pics or where you bought it from? I spot two Broncos in the background.
DefEddie
Those pics are of it parked on my west lawn by my shop. On the top of the ridge is a 1969 bronco, and underneath it is an 87? ramcharger. In front of it is an 86 fiero i'm stripping to build a custom interior. Next to it is my real project,92 GMC 2dr AWD Yukon convertible-turbocharged vortec 5.7l,custom fuel injection using LS6 PCM,MAF etc.. I need to pull the ramcharger and fiero around back, the red fiero is sold and will be picked up next week.
Go4DaMo
Welcome and thanks for showing us your Pontiac! It's an interesting find. What tranny are you planning to mate the 3.1 to, the one from the TGP? How many miles are on her?
GnatGoSplat
Nice find. I'd be curious to see what it looks like all cleaned up. I assume the interior is a mess due to having been exposed to the elements? Anyway, I don't think they use much road salt in OK. That would be a good rust-free body for someone up north whose car has severe rot.
DefEddie
I plan to use the trans that is with it,my TH125 is only a 3spd and currently my reverse is out. Not sure on that yet though, likely will use OBDII with this engine in which case I either need a 4t60e or will simply program the pcm for a manual trans and use a controller for TCC lockup. Checked miles before I went to work, and it's got 159k on it. What's road salt?
