bmwpaul1
I scored a pair of really nice dark charcoal gray electric seats from a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Long story short, I need some help with the 6 wires of the wiring harness I put 12v to the 'lower-thicker' black and orange wires and normal up/down/front/back 'front' control on the seat works great My question is: what are the other four 'upper-thinner' wires for? (they're: pink, light blue, black w/white stripe, and smaller orange) and what's that 'rear' small joy-stick control for? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you
swift13
it may be for the heated seats.
bmwpaul1
I don't think they're for heated seats since the passenger seat has no wiring (and I thought they both came heated with that option) I have a feeling they're for that 'little joy-stick' but for the life of me, I can figure out what that would do

bmwpaul1
It took some searching but I found an online copy of the owners manual Looks like the little joy-stick is the control for the lumber support Now the question is: What do those wire's connect to since I assume they are used (at least partially) for that. Looks like I'm going to have get my multimeter and one of my batteries out and see what I can discover unless someone has access to the actual wiring diagram My guess is one of them powers the lumber support, one is for the seat belt warning system and perhaps the last two are for seat heaters... that would be sweet
