GOT2B GM
One unit with the nut on the accumulator is from a 90 Cutlass International 3.1 The other unit with the silver coloured motor is from a 90 TGP. Is the accumulator with no nut on the top an aftermarket unit? What's with the motors being different colours? Also the dust boot around the pushrod that connects the to the brake pedal is different, one is clear , one is black........
Addicted To Boost
GM accumulators have a yellow label and a nut on them. Prior Reman and other aftermarket accumulators are smooth with no labels. FWIW, I have a black bodied PMIII in my TGP and it works great. It is a Prior Reman unit. mfewtrail
Looks like the rest of the unit might have been painted before and not just the motor. Those units that were on ebay(one is on there now) and other rebuilds I've seen had black paint on them. Were you just comparing them out of curiosity or were you working on your car again? EDIT: I think my prior reman accumulator had the word "Hydac" written on it or on a label. Yours definitely looks like one of the prior ones. They have a nut on the rear of them. GOT2B GM
Well my cutty needs a new accumulator, and the TGP is not too far behind....figured I'd better start stock piling spare PM3 goodies as the newest PM3 equipped w-body is 18yrs old. Pic of the sticker on the Prior aftermarket accumulator.

I'm going to start doing the same thing as I like the PMIII and will eventually end up with more PMIII equipped cars.

ManicMechanic
I found a really odd 1991 Regal last week...manual windows and locks, AM/FM radio but had a 3800 and ABS.
5speedz34
I really want to drive a PMIII equipped car. All I've heard is they stop amazingly.

slick
I loved the way my TGP stopped. I could only imagine how much better it would be with the larger brakes swapped onto it.
GOT2B GM
Yeah they certainly haul down better than a pre 94 vacuum brake car.
