Michele Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 I have a 1996 Cutlass Supreme with the 3.1L in her. I had also found 2 supercharged 3.8's and a few non-supercharged 3.8s here in town in a salvage yard with OE headers. Will those headers fit my Cutty? I liked the way they look and really want to get headers like these for my Cutty since I have opened the intake up a bit. Thank you all! ~Michele~ Quote
GOT2B GM Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Exhaust manifolds from a 3800 will not fit a 3100 Quote
Michele Posted November 9, 2009 Author Report Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks for leting me know. SO anyways... can I find or get some headers to fit my car? I don't like the look of the logs it has now. I need something new for the winter car shows! Quote
Andrew Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 there are no headers for the 3100. You will have to go custom. and no such OE headers exist on a 3800. Quote
RobertISaar Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 there are some header-type manifolds on certain 3500s IIRC, those will bolt in place, but from the downpipe back needs to be adapted/replaced... Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 The 3800 is a 90 degree V6, and the 3100 is a 60 degree V6, so no they are completely different engines. I think that Milzy Motorsports used to make headers for the 3100, but they were expensive. I don't know if they make them anymore. Quote
