mra32
flywheel machined.. how much should this cost? My roommate just got his for his VW done for somewhere around $40. That was the cheapest in the area
94GPGTP
NICE THREAD! I get my 282 today. we pulled it 2 days ago. and I am in the dark like anthony so this was a good read so far. I could have told you about the fork thing though because it just came off, but looks like it needs a new throw out bearing. I plan on getting it rebuilt before installing it. how much might I expect a shop to charge for a rebuild if I took it in? the trans has ~200k miles I's very easy to remove and install a manual transmission.. i did the 284 about 4 times in a row.. if u need a guide or helpo feel free to ask.. with your tranny having 200k it probably has been rebuilt in the past.. the 282 in my tgp has 230k shifts awesome and no grinds or anything.. but it leaks between the case halfs so i add oil alot.. Addicted to eaton
where does the throw out bearing go? I CANT find one!!!
intern8tion9l
it goes on the input shaft between the fork and the pressure plate. if it wasn't included with your clutch, you can get a muncie one from napa, i have in the past. i pulled my tranny and changed my clutch in my driveway by myself
