brianstarr58
Is there anything that I need to know about before attempting to put front and rear pads on my 95 Vert? I have installed brakes before but not on the Cutlass. Someone told that there are some special tools that I might need but he didn't know what. cutty
yes you will need a t-60 socket for the fronts, and a brake cube or caliper compressor tool for the rear brakes.
mra32
and a brake cube or caliper compressor tool for the rear brakes. Or a nice pair of pliers to fit in the divets and screw the piston back in, as in the Haynes manual
Crazy K
t60 is needed to remove the rotors, but if you are only doing pads you don't need it The rear pistons turn in. I've done it with pliers or wrenches... but you can also get a loaner tool from AZ designed to do the task. Once the rear's piston is in, there are two notches on the piston. These notches must be horizontally aligned.
