94 olds vert
Not really, that would be bad. I started it today for the first time in 2 weeks or so. Started right up, ran good. Let it go for 10-15 mins the driver side fan kicked on, ran for a bit, shut off. I added some radiator fluid as I watched it run. Then I gave it a little rev, and held it there for a second or 2. Then I gave it a deeper rev and the engine stumbled and I gave it another rev same thing it hesitated. So, it idle fine and then I shut it off. I thought it could be from the month old gas in the car. But I did add a little bit of stay-bill. I also probably need some new spark plugs and wires anyway, They are 4 years old with 15k miles on them. So, why do think it hesitated? I just hope its nothing major. And I do need to add some more oil.

carkhz316
^X2. Spray some water on them while you have a helper gas it in drive with the brakes held. Helps to load the ignition by creating a higher demand (due to the load) and will usually reveal bad plug wires
94 olds vert
Do you need a boot in a socket to removed the spark plugs? Because I cannot remove them.

Jonpro03
I just use the old plug wires, they hold pretty tight... I also use them to start threading the new plugs
tornado_735
OH I see. A guy I used to know would use a little piece of rubber fuel line (or something of the like) that fit snug over the electrode of the plug to get it out or thread it in. White93z34
I use a spark plug socket to remove them from the head. then I chase them with a magnetic stick to pull them up out of the holes.

Do what Chris said. That's what I have done in the past and it makes it easy if you have a magnet to pull the plugs out of the wells once they're loose. 94 olds vert
I replaced a vacuum line hose, On the top of the engine. I replaced that with a new hose, It runs a lot better now. Still hesitated, but not as bad. I checked a spark plug it looked alright. I cleaned it and put it back in.
spiderw31
I just thought of something... You are revving it in park right? Is it possible you are bouncing off the 3k rev limiter in park?

Fixed. 4k? Mine is definitely 3k. Is it different for the LQ1 vs. the 3100?
