Grndzer
I am wondering sense the 3.4 was offered in my car the swap should be fairly easy, has anyone done this?
patgizz
yes, but i strongly suggest getting a donor car for all the stuff that is different. stick to a 91-93 engine - you will need engine, trans, wiring harness, motor/trans mounts, both heater hose/pipe assemblies, radiator(may or may not, the 3.4 radiator from my donor was the same thickness as my 94's radiator but thicker than my 91's). then theres the alternator cooling ductwork, both throttle and cruise control cables, possibility of the a/c lines depending which compressor you get or have now. expect it to take longer than you expect. i had mine running with 3.1 to running with 3.4 in 2 days, but then it took almost a month to get all the little things sorted out and have it all functioning as stock. Grndzer
Ok, so its seems that doing a 3.1 build up would be the easy way out, if i have to hack out the wiring harness and all that I don't think I am will to put that much work in.
