Galaxie500XL
I've been slowly improving my '95 DOHC Cutlass convertible, and am to the point where I am considering replacing the oxygen sensor. I've no idea how long it's been on the car, but from its' appearance, it's not been changed for a long time. On the LeBaron I own, several people on a forum similar to this found the Bosch oxygen sensor gave much poorer results (fuel economy) than the one the factory had installed...I was wondering if anyone had advice or experience on whether a particular oxygen sensor on the LQ1 DOHC seems to work better than others. I'm more interested in good fuel economy than anything else...which I realize is a bit of a contradiction with the LQ1 I was considering getting the OEM AC/Delco sensor, but see no reason to spend more if something else gives good or better performance. Anyone got any thoughts?

5speedz34
Ya I put a Bosch sensor in.....in the future I would go with a Delco though.
Galaxie500XL
Thanks! I hadn't checked Rockauto....the least I had found the Delco O2 sensor was right at $100.00. They had it for $65.00 I'm hoping this might raise my fuel mileage from 19-20 (85% highway miles) to maybe the low 20's. Usually, I get at or just above the EPA rated mileage in my cars, but not this one..

White93z34
I'll recommend delco, however I have been running a Bosch and getting around 24mpg mixed driving and up to 28 highway.
Galaxie500XL
Thanks for the suggestions... I've fixed about a half dozen vacuum leaks, plugs, and new A/C Delco plug wires, (two were broken), but the fuel mileage stays consistently at 19-20. Since I can get the OEM sensor for $65.00 at rockauto, I'll definitely do just that.

Ya same with me I see about 19-20 mostly city with a Bosch. What I need to change is my fuel filter. FWIW: I found a pic of the O2 sensor I pulled out. Either this is original or just old because I've never seen a Delco with that ground wire like this.
