2buickbob
After 17 + years of use and soft drinks in the leaves, one of the plastic overlayed leaves in the center shift console jammed and "derailed"/twisted (actually, that happened a couple of years ago). The shift lever still works. Yesterday, I pulled up the upper part of the console and cleaned much of it with rubbing alcohol/cotton swabs/q-tips/toothpicks and it all looks real clean. Here's what I found: The upper 2 plastic leaves have held in place and work better now. The 3rd leaf down, a smaller one, looks to have dislocated and sunken more. The lowest leaf, the 4th one (has the red gear marker) is even lower and loose. The shift lever still works, but I'd like to get it looking/functioning normally. Any tips? Help!
