dkorinko Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 I dont know if you guys are gonna be able to tell what I am talking about but i'll give it a try. Have any of you seen that little black ball thats in front of the driver side front tire??? Its behind the bumper and if you get under the car you can see it pretty easy. Someone told me that is was a vacume source but i dont know??? Well I was under the car today tightening down all of my clamps that hold my intercooler piping together when i noticed that the plug going to it was unplugged???? I dont know if the thing really does anything but i would like to know what it could have caused while it was unplugged??? Thanks! Quote
TGPilot Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 It is a vacuum reservoir. When the car goes to boost and vacuum is no longer present this "black ball" holds the vac till vacuum is at the manifold again... 8) Quote
The Burning Rom Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 The line to mine was (and still is) melted off I should probably fix that one of these days Quote
brian89gp Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 A vacuum leak can cause all sorts of hell, stalling, searching for idle, racing idle, etc. Quote
