BS009 Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I was trying to decide whether or not i want to paint my braces that go from the radiator to the strut tower brace, when i noticed that my GS doesn't have them. It's got some black thing instead where the hole for the bolt should be on the strut tower, but the other two holes are there. My last Regal had them and it was 91 limited 2 door. Anybody have any idea why the GS of all the Regal's doesn't have these braces? Can i just drill these things out and put a bolt with a nut in there instead? (sorry about the pics, didn't have my camera handy) Quote
Crazy K Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I want to say YES, but you may actually be able to just pop those out. you may need to tap the holes out. Your lack of bracing is consistent with 95 and earlier 3800 equipped cars... Quote
BS009 Posted October 18, 2009 Author Report Posted October 18, 2009 that's interesting, I guess the guy who had my 91 before me must've added them since it had the 3800 too. Well, I know what to look for now next time I go to the Junkyard. I'll find out if i need to drill them later. thanks. Quote
RobertISaar Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 wierd... didn't know that the 3.8 cars didn't get those braces... makes me feel better about not fixing the broken bolts on the MC... Quote
94 olds vert Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Its probably safer to install that. Quote
