Jonpro03
Is it possible to run a obd1 drivetrain and ecm in an obd2 car? For instance if I wanted to buy a malibu or something, could I run my turbo setup in that car?

For instance if I wanted to buy a malibu or something, could I run my turbo setup in that car? Sure, so long as you change everything to OBD1.. Which is retarded.. And of course, it must be an early year where the BCM doesnt communicate with the PCM, which means the Malibu is out. And CAN cars CANT be done as most everything else wont work.. Sooo Just turbo the OBD2 car, and tune away.
RobertISaar
honestly, since its already got a tuneable ECM, you might as well stick with OBD2. it is possible to run a OBD1 system in it(depending on the tranny and a few other things) but you would be spending more to convert and tune it than just buying HPT... Yet they will never force that law, unless ur car is ear bleeding loud. If they actually forced this law, all the kids at UTI would be screwed lol
