I was at bucks house and im really thinking about buying his 5 speed! would the 282 hold up to the S/C 3800? What would i need to change? Axles? What kinda clutch could i use?

You need to make a new rear motor mount.

You need to add a clutch pedal bracket to the 2nd gen pedal bracket.

You need to add the master cylinder hole in the firewall plate.

You need to make the master cylinder rod adjustable.

You need to drill a hole in the firewall plate for the shifter cables to pass through.

You need to drill holes for the trans mount.

You need to modify the oil filter adapter housing to clear the new CV shaft.

Whats the diffrence between a 282 and a 284? Will a 282 hold the power of the s/c 3800

284 is stronger, but a lot harder (and more expensive new) to get parts for.
