Headlight idea. Would it work?

ok here is what im thinking. i want to open up my miniquads and paint the botom of the housing black so that when it reflects off of the rest of the housing it appears tinted. then i was wondering if there was anyway you can clear the corner lights. so that i can lightly tint them also.

 

woulds this work?

no it would not. the rest of the light would overcome dark reflections. also, two of the bulbs (high beams, I think) are already not silvered on the bottom.

they have dark crosshair reflectors on bmw's and vw's that make the light appear darker. I assume this would be a similar thing, but would probably affect light output more.

exactly what i was thinking but only doing the bottom like the lights i posted above. i am going to go to the junkyard pic up a couple miniquads and sidde markers and see what i can do

i'd like to put clear corners on my cutlass but aren't the front corners one orange piece? and if so that would mean you cant do what you'd usually do which is just remove the orange part from the clear part since it is only the orange piece.
