GMRedline
I know its my first post... I searched this forum under the "Cutlass Supreme Convertible" category for the following keywords. L67 L32 swap GTP And did not find anything. I am trying to find out some information on a Cutlass L67/L36 swap into a Cutlass Convertible. I don't have Cutlass right now but planning on buying an 95 sometime in the future. My grandpa worked for Oldsmobile so they are dear to my heart. I currently own a 99 Olds Bravada and a 06 Saturn ION Redline. I am trying to figure out which w-body platform would be a good starting point as donor vehicle. I am looking for a vehicle that is supported by HPTuners since I already own the software. Assuming I would need to use the PCM from a HPTuners supported vehicle and adapt it to the Cutlass. Does anyone know where I can start looking for more info? I did several google searches and all I could find where some youtube videos of a L67 swapped cutlass. Thanks for the help guys. Night Fury
It's been done, if no one responds right away, just keep nagging. I myself don't know much about it other than I'd like one!
jake91
do some searches in the powertrain section you will find a wealth of info there
Crazy K
as a general rule of thumb, the convertible section is for vert specific issues, and powertrain in not one of them(it is the same as used in other w-bodies). you should be looking in powertrain, and this thread will be moved there soon. it has been done. i want to say 94vert has done it into a vert, but others have swapped motors into other models, and the info will be the same. mfewtrail
Check out the forum, articles, etc. over at http://www.motorswap.org while you're at it. There's a lot of L67 swap info over there.
GMRedline
Check out the forum, articles, etc. over at http://www.motorswap.org while you're at it. There's a lot of L67 swap info over there. I am looking for something specific using an ECU/PCM from an HPTuners supported vehicle in a non HPTuners support vehicle. Do you have a link of any examples?
95 vert
I have a 99 Monte/lumina harness if you are interested.
GMRedline
I have a 99 Monte/lumina harness if you are interested. I might need it. I am still trying to get a hold a Brian T. I need to know if I can tune a 95 Cutlass with HPTs after a L67 swap.
95 vert
If you use a (preferably for harness pin match) a 99 GTP/Regal GS PCM it should be tunable.
GMRedline
If you use a (preferably for harness pin match) a 99 GTP/Regal GS PCM it should be tunable. Repin the ODB port and use a GTP PCM? Right? Will there be any problems registering the vin with HPTuners? Sorry I am still reading up on this swap. 95 vert
I don't know about registering the vin. I've never used HPtuners. Maybe someone else will chime in on this.
