drew45u
Ive always been happy with the 3100 in the car even though it has a slight lifter tick, but i just came across a 99 buick regal supercharged wrecked but engine and tranny are low miles and untouched for 500 bucks. So my question is does anyone know a step by step guide that i can find?? i can find posts pertaining to certain issues but not a complete start to finish swap. More worried about the car being reliable before i start making it quick. My car is a 1997 cutlass supreme 2 door. Thanks for any help and or advice. Octavarium454
http://mymonte.com/discussion/index.php?showtopic=23142 Thats the best guide I have found. You are also going to need to swap your power steering lines, heater hoses, radiator hoses, wiring harness out of a 98-99 3800 Monte Carlo or Lumina (then re-pin the said harness), modify your axles with GTP or Regal axles in order to use the trans, modify your firewall to make your downpipe fit. The one nice thing is you won't have to worry about making custom mounts, as it will bolt right up to your subframe. I'm currently doing this on my 95 GTP so good luck to you.
