MonteCarloMan
I have a 2004 Monte Carlo LS, i need to recharge the R134. I have the canister of the coolant and teh cable that connects it to the input on the line. but i cannot find which one you hook it up to. I see one on the middle of the firewall under the left wiper, and one just under and behind the air cleaner housing. is it one of those and if not, where is it? GutlessSupreme
5 years old and it already needs a recharge? Did you get one of the kits with the gauges and all that?
1990lumina
5 years old and it already needs a recharge? Did you get one of the kits with the gauges and all that? Probably has a leak. This is a good example of why those self recharge kits shouldn't be sold - or have a limit of how many one person can buy. The system should be leak checked because it shouldn't need to be charged in 5 years - unless it was evacuated for repairs then I understand . That's what I was thinking, a UV-dye leak test should be performed and any leaks fixed first.
