Imp558
Theoretically speaking here: if we top swap an L36 and run L67 heads ect.. on it we get a high compression L67 due to the L36 Rods and pistons. Has anybody ever looked at doing the same thing to an L26? Taking an L26 bottom end and putting an L32 top end on it to get a boosted, high compression Series III Engine with the sturdier rods, better flowing heads and a Gen 5 Eaton blower? I'm doing a lot of reading but some of you may have more insight. Would that be the 3800 factory dream engine combo?
Andrew
its likely been done, but its not common yet because the gen III arent as common in the junkyards as the gen II. Its not really a dream combo in my eyes, solely because its better to add boost to a lower compression engine, than to add compression to a boosted engine.
