tornado_735
I have to replace these transmission cooler lines on tuesday. The lines that need replacing are the Number 1 and Number 9 in the picture: Am I going to need to remove the dogbones and the fan shroud to remove the lines and replace them? Crazy K
it would make it easier. and removing them is very easy anyhow. but.. Why are you having to replace those lines? they like never go bad.

Why are you having to replace those lines? they like never go bad. They are rusted and leaking...actually, right where that little flange is at two and three in the picture. Sitting there idling for 10 minutes nets about a cup's worth of transmission fluid on the ground. I stand corrected on my last estimate. Driving from my apartment the 25 miles to the house I'm moving into costs me about half a quart of fluid. It's sitting up there in the garage right now. I drove it up there and left it. Crazy K
fair enough! i've never had a problem with used lines, and they are cheap... and better quality than you'd get an any auto parts store.
