H.P.Productions Posted September 12, 2003 Report Share Posted September 12, 2003 I finaly got my heads to the head shop monday and they saide I worped both heads but they can fix em and replace the springs for $165(because they know my pops) Icheck my bottom end and theirs nothing bent and I cleaned up my cubustion chanbers with some break cleaner and they look praticaly rew.. when I get the it all bck together should I expect a power decrease or anything? I'm not shure what all had been done performance wise but I know my 3.1 had alot more balls than other 3.1 or 3100 car I have ever drivin before I know for sure the it has a higheflow fuel pump but i'm not sure it has a chip or not Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
1badtgp Posted September 12, 2003 Report Share Posted September 12, 2003 Should be a little better. If they are warped, they will have to shave them, resulting in a higher compression ratio. Also, the valves will probably be reseated and that will help some as well. It may not be much, but it does help. Btw, $165 is about right for what they are doing. I had the TGP heads ported and polished while doing the head gaskets, and it ran me $200 for the set including shaving and rebuild, along with the performance work.
