94 olds vert Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 No the engine does not actually squeal. But From the passenger side where all the belts are sounds like its squealing. This has only started to happen since I bought a foam product to degrees the engine. And today it would not stop. Any Ideas? If you guys want to know anything else ask and i will find out for you Quote

BXX Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Replace the serpentine belt, you got grease on it and its slipping.. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 could be just dry as well... check to see if its cracked. Quote
Galaxie500XL Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 ..and if replacing the belt doesn't eliminate the squeal, you likely have a bad tensioner. Quote

tommyz34 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 try buying some belt dressing spray it may stop the squeal ive used it before Quote
