94GPGTP Posted September 2, 2009 Author Report Posted September 2, 2009 Where is this vent valve located? Quote
88red4cyl Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Where is this vent valve located? On my 06, its located just behind the drivers rear wheel well right by the gas filler neck... Quote
Mach 5 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Check for power and ground w/ key on. ECU grounds the wire and the power is hot when key is on. Quote
94GPGTP Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 oh ok so its that damn can behind the rear wheel by the filler neck.. damn.. hopefully its something easy... y would i get a code for that? Quote
Mach 5 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 maybe its a shorted wire or bad connection. Quote
88red4cyl Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 maybe its a shorted wire or bad connection. That's very possible... Has it been on ever since you swapped ECM's? There may be something wrong with the one you have if thats the case... Quote
94GPGTP Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 after about 300 miles of driving the SES light popped on with this code.. but with the other ECM i never had any codes.. even with having no cat.. I thought the 97 Monte computer was a better choice than the 96 gp computer.. maybe ill have the computer tuned Quote
dickmcnemar Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Well i just replaced my computer with one from a 97 MOnte and i have about 300 miles on this computer and rhe SES light comes on with code p1675.. replaced the valve with another known working one and still the light comes on after clearing the code... Now what? How did you finally resolve this??? My grandson's 97 lumina has the same problem. The evap vent solenoid is on the back of the engine. Just follow the vacuum lines. Replaced it. still getting P1675 code. Cleaned connections. possible computer problem?? Have 2.9 ohms on one side of solenoid connector. Quote
