Removing Center Console Top Plate

A few weeks ago a little plastic plate surrounding the shifter came unattached, followed by another a short while after. Now my gear indicator reads one gear lower than it should ( i.e. showing 3 in D ) or is completely blocked.

 

I want to disassemble the console enough to take those plates, my PRND321 piece, and the clear plastic piece covering it out. How would I go about doing this?

Does anyone remember that silver PRND321 plate? I'd like to see what was involved in making that and if I'd have time to do it.
