rockfangd Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Hi all. Maybe someone could give me some tips on why my driver side aq9 seat would stop working. The Aq9 controls work but the 6 way seat controls stopped working this morning suddenly. I was moving the seat down a little and it stopped and now nothing works. I checked the fuse which was good. I checked all connections under the seat which looked fine. I pulled the fuse out as to not damage anything if there is a major problem. This is the first problem i have ever had with the power seat Quote
grandprixnyc Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 FYI The AQ9 controls run on a completely separate circuit. Quote
rockfangd Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 Lol I know that because i wired them The AQ9 controls are wired into the cigar lighter, ashtray light, and ground. But the main wire for the seat goes into a plug under the driver side AQ9 then the seat harness plugs into that. Kind of confusing I know. Could one motor short all of them out? Quote
grandprixnyc Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 I think the power seat motor is one motor (not six), so it is very possible it could be dead. The AQ9's will still work regardless of the power seat motor. Quote
rockfangd Posted September 1, 2009 Author Report Posted September 1, 2009 It has 3 motors. one for the forward tilt, one for the rear tilt, and one for the forward and back/ none of the 3 work Quote
rockfangd Posted September 1, 2009 Author Report Posted September 1, 2009 I will have to find out in the morning. It is kind of tight space under the seat though Quote
Crazy K Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 probably a bad connection at the switch... Quote
rockfangd Posted September 1, 2009 Author Report Posted September 1, 2009 I hope not but then i hope so because it is not easy to pull the seat when the motors are not working lol Quote
rockfangd Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 Ok so i found the problem. The Aux post nut was loose lol Quote
