2buickbob
Hey folks, the mounting system is original. I've tried to hold out. I am almost sure this is it, since when I quickly tap (feather) on the gas pedal OR floor it, the engine seems to be torquing back at me (Had this on another car, and it was the mounts). Also, there is a vibration at high speeds that changes with the steering angle but is CAUSING NO TIRE WEAR WHATSOEVER. The tie rods have been changed within the last couple of years, the suspension (bushings) is deemed to be in beautiful shape and the dog bone has been replaced as well. How many engine/trans mounts on FWD 3800 Series I with 4T60 (non E) ? Where are they? Are they tough to get to (for professionals)? Isn't this a delicate operation where absolutely nothing can shift or it can mess with the driveline? Again, how much could this cost? The answers I've gotten here have always been essentially correct!
xtremerevolution
around $25 for the front and rear mounts. $15 for the engine torque mount, and no more than $35 for the transmission mount, all of which you can replace yourself if you have more intelligence than a monkey.
