Hi all. I am trying to work out a few bugs on my new W-body lol so dont mind all of the threads.

Ok so The ABS light is constantly on on my 2000 lumina.

I pulled the code and this is what i have.

1262 RF motor circuit short to ground.

I have never seen this code before so i have no idea what i am looking at, whether it be a speed sensor or the whole unit.

I am confused on this and i would like to fix the problem, not bypass the ABS feature.

Thanks for any info in advance

bump on this. Could it be just the sensor?

Also mods feel free to move this to the proper section if you feel it is posted in the wrong section

My 1993, along with my dad's do the same thing. I checked the fuses and blew out the rear sensors when I put struts on, but to no avail. I can't run a specific code with it being a pre-1996 model. I want to fix mine as well. It started doing this over the summer and I've locked up my tires 4 times since then. NEED ABS!

When I get home tonight I'll break out a service manual, and see if it lists the specifics of that code.

Thank you very much. I dont think it is just the rf sensor

I don't have a 2000 lumina manual, but beings that it is OBD2, and ABS IV the 98' regal manual should provide the same codes and descriptions.
