Crazy K Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 so... I have a 2.25 ratio rack which came out of my 95 Cs LQ1, and it is a NV7 magna-steer option. the upper seal where the steering hooks up needs to be replaced. is that available, or am I screwed? Quote
White93z34 Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 I'd give you sound advise but I'm sure you'll ignore it, again. Quote

BXX Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 2.25 was tgp only ken at best you have a 2.50 and no, the seal kits arent available anymore Quote
Crazy K Posted August 16, 2009 Author Report Posted August 16, 2009 2.25 was tgp only ken at best you have a 2.50 and no, the seal kits arent available anymore it is a 2.25... i known 2 and 1/4 turns of the rack in my hand when i turn it. That is 360 x 2 plus another 90 degrees... or 810 degrees. it is from a 95 3.4 NV7 car, BTW... But the rack may be a replacement, as the clockspring in that car's column was broken, meaning something was disconnected and improperly fixed... I also have: 2 5/8 turns (2.65???) 2 3/4 turns 2.75 3 turns aka 3.00 Quote

Crazy K Posted August 16, 2009 Author Report Posted August 16, 2009 riddle me this. there is a marking on each rack identifying it. that mark is on the dust cap opposite of the steering input shaft. What does your TGP rack have on it's cap? I have.... AH = 2.25 ZM = 2 5/8 (2.625?) AN = 2.75 YS = 3.00 Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Rockauto has a few seal kits available. Quote
spiderw31 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 p.s. aren't the gps with B4U siding supposed to be 2.25, or is that a myth? I'm pretty sure mine is 2.25. I'll have to double check though. Quote
