99screaminregal Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I was thinking the other day about wheel opts and polishing my facs to a bright shinecame to mind. So, how would I do that? I know I would have to strip the paint and clear coat off the surface. What would I use to polish them? A Dremel or something? Quote
hotrodolds Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Do you have the ten hole, or five spoke wheels? You'll not want to use a dremel. It will take FOREVER if you do. Can do it faster by hand. Better yet, a DA with ultra fine sand paper, and what not. Quote

hotrodolds Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Those will be a bitch to polish. I repainted mine, and that was bad enough. Gonna be honest with you, and tell you that, in my opinion, it won't be worth the time. You'll probably end up spending about 6 hours or more PER WHEEL to have them look like anything worth putting on the car. Just to paint took me four hours for all four, and I could have/should have prepped better. Quote
