Where did the power go...

I took the GTP to a shop to put up on a hoist and see where the damn exhaust leak was. Well the resonator was toast to the point where I could poke holes in the top of it. They put on a resonator half the size and made up the rest with pipe because ... well it was cheap and I need to pass inspection. A few weeks earlier I put a set of new Goodyear Gatorback serpentine belts on because the old ones were stock and cracked.

I'm not sure what else it could be because my car's tires won't even break loose now. NO BALLS at all, it's like I had a 2.8 under the hood.

Anyone have an idea wtf is going on? Could it be the cheap resonator? Could it be the Serpentine Belts? Could it be the 76*F weather? NO BALLS!!!! wahhhhhhh!!!!....

PS. I start school next month.

My guess would be the cheap resonator, what make is it?

I got an 18" Vibrant Resonator off e-bay for $50 to replace the 8" piece of shit that was under the car.

How is your Catalytic converter? Entirely possible that working on the exhaust broke the shit inside loose and now its plugged up.

My cat is before the resonator... I'm kinda scratching my head that my resonator would have messed it up.

Seems like I need to replace from my down pipe back now.

check the boost bypass valve

You think it may have been damaged? My DIC does show boost and it seems somewhat 'retarded' when I step on it.

mine just went bad and it showed maybe 1 or 2lbs of boost. it was a dog with out it. start it and rev it up by hand, it should be all the way up when running and all the way down when revving.

Make sure the belts were the right ones and that it isn't slipping o nthe S/C pulley. I'd just chec the tensioner and make sure the arrow on it is within the two marks for proper tension.

Within??? eep it's outside as in over tightened.

The bearing in the pulley has a low growl and the bearing in the alternator has a high growl.

I had a bit of an issue getting the supercharger belt on as it was very tight compared to the accessories belt. Would that be an issue? I'm lost here.
