1994 cutlass with the 3.1 320K on the car and it's parts, 220K on the engine, drive axels and tranny are hitting the end of the line, I have a line on a regal with a broken frame for $300, 170K 3800 with same tranny, it's a 94 as well... the question is, wiring swap or drop and roll? and do you think the drive axels will be the same fit?

thats it, if anyone has more info drop a reply, I'd like to hear what exactly needs to be done if I can scrape together the cash!.

thanks a million

320k? :willynilly:

Holy shit!

that's kilometers :-P canada and such... woulds work out to almost 200k miles still though. and I planned on swapping the tranny as mine is about to bite the dust :)

I did some manual searching last night after I posted and I did find some info in pages from long ago, suggesting wiring and pcm changes as well, but it was the w-body body and h-body powertrain swap. so I have no idea if I need to swap the electrical yet...

comments? critisisms?

best bet to see how easy it would be is to compare C100 firewall connectors between the 94 cutlass and the 94 regal. a factory service manual for each car should be able to give you that information.

but considering that they are both w-cars it should be more or less bolt in.

/dance sounding good so far. My manual has all 4 engines and a bunch of years... I forgot about it tbh... problem is now I can't find it >.<

**edit**

just looked at the manual... pcm is a different layout, will likely have to swap everything >.<
