GPX
I'm sure the new $50 Lumina needs new plugs and wires, and it came with them because the former owner(s) didn't want to change them. The front ones were a breeze, but I can see the rear ones are a bear. What's the best way of going about it? Removing top end components or rocking engine forward? I can't imagine rocking the engine forward, but maybe that's cuz I don't know how to do it. There must be a thread about this, but I didn't find it in my search. Thx. Its easy as pie. the dogbones have a hole on the underside for that exact reason. 1. unbolt both dogbones. 2. take one off and put the bolt minus dogbone back into holes in bracket on engine. 3. use prybar between bolt and engine for leverage, hold while undoing second dogbone. 4. once second dogbone is out, rock engine forward using prybar, far enough to stick bolt through bracket and underside hole of second dogbone. Does that make sense?

Addicted To Boost
You shouldn't even need a prybar.. Once your dogbones are unbolted, just grab the engine and pull it forward, lock in place.

GPX
Wow, there really is a trick! I can't wait to try it. Thanks guys!
88Regal Limited
you can also put a jack on the back of the trans pan and jack itup to rock the engine forward. That's what I've done and it works great. I got good after burning through 2 sets of wires and diagnosing a miss issue.

Two bolts are easier than three! and it gives you moar room
Jonpro03
just undo the dogbones, with it in park have a cuple buddies push on the back of the car as hard as they can, once satisfied set the parking brake. No prying necessary
Euro
Yeah, dogbone removal > alternator removal. We tried both when doing the plugs/wires on my Lumina just to see, the dogbone removing + motor rocking forward was way easier
