CSI_MuNkY Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Have you tried a leather cleaner?? Quote
PanamaZ34 Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 I've never done it myself, but I've seen dyed/painted seats on plenty of classics and if done right, they can look very good (and last pretty well). Leather is generally dyed with a simple topcoat to ensure an even colour before it ever makes it onto a car, re-dyeing/painting it is a simple matter (usually just sponging the dye on) provided you buy the right kit and don't just try to make do with vinyl paint or similar. Make sure you get a specialist leather colouring kit, buy the best you can afford and don't be tempted to go with a spray can ....... they really aren't worth it (cheap nasty finish, that is much more likely to crack and flake). 91LuminaEuro Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 I agree, try some bleach white first. Then go for the dye. You can do it yourself, they make kits for it. I do not think its cheap, but if you do it properly and follow the steps they look awesome. Quote
thatcutteeboy Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Posted August 10, 2009 Try some Spray Nine or Bleche-White on those Bleche-white is what I used on the seats before I put them in the car. They were really Filthy-Mcnasty. I was surprised at how much they cleaned up. I have to get one repaired and the I'll get the dye. Quote

I really just need to do the seating and the back cushions the trim cleaned up really well. Quote

Not too fun. Haven't had a problem as I usually don't get it directly on my hands. It is definitely some pretty awesome stuff. Works great as an engine bay cleaner too! Quote
