mmltml Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 http://cleveland.craigslist.org/pts/1297487509.html this may seem like a dumb question, but how does this attach if its only one piece? it obviously hangs over the trunk when the trunks open, so does the whole thing go up with the trunk or what? dumb question i know, but all the brickyards i've seen are 3 piece... thanks Quote
5speedz34 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Yup that's definitely not what is usually called a "brickyard" spoiler. Quote
mmltml Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 ok i just wasn't sure thanks...the angle threw me off a little Quote
jman093 Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Yes, that is not a brickyard spoiler, but they did make one piece brickyard spoilers. 1995 was the only year of the three piece spoiler. My sister's 96 Z34 does have the one piece brickyard. I'm not sure how many years they kept making that spoiler. The former wing pieces of the three piece are part of a longer main spoiler on a one piece and they hang just slightly above the quarter panel, so there is a tiny gap when the trunk is down. It looks a lot nicer than having the three gapped pieces. Here's some googled images: Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Whoa! I have only ever seen the 3 piece spoilers. Never even knew they made a 1 piece! Jamie Quote
GOT2B GM Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Brickyard style spoilers are a must have on 1.5 gens Quote
mfewtrail Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Here's a pic of the three piece brickyard. Quote
w-bodys_are_the_best Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 That one-piece would really suck in the winter up here, I can see lots of problems getting into the trunk with that. Quote
