dylan1630 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 On my 1993 grand prix se the brakes stop me pretty slow, if i need to stop in a hurry i don't exactly get stopped quick enough. I have to push down further on them than I should to just slow down for a stop sign or whatever, but When i need to really stop quick, and this is when i push the pedal to the floor, it still takes me pretty long to stop. they just don't feel right. I replaced all the brake pads and rotors not very long ago, and also my brake light was on and it was because an abs sensor was bad, so we found the bad sensor and replaced it and my brake light is not on. Is it just how my brakes are or should they be better? What can I do? Quote
Crazy K Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 car have ABS? has there been a full fluid flush? try this too: raise the rear of the car and turn each of the rear tires by hand, and get a friend to apply the brakes. do they work? the 93- rear caliper are infamous for not working properly.
