99screaminregal Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Looking to buy a set of Nexen N5000 treads soon. They're "H" Rated and 60k mi. tire. Heard they're a good tire but, anyone have them? Also, looking at a set of Michelin X Radials on eBay. They "S" rated so I'm a little hesitant to buy b/c my foot can be a little heavy and don't want to have a sloppy tire. Lemme know!! Thanks, Isaac Quote
BXX Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Never known anyone who had a set... H rated it better, but make sure the load index is proper, in the case of our cars it should be 97... Quote
GOT2B GM Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Nexen generally = cheap walmart tires Quote
Pontiac6KSTEAWD Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Had a set of the Nexens on my Allante', They were good dry weather tires, but wet/snow, forget about it. I would rather go with the Mich myself, but get the LX4 Pilots. Quote
LukeZ34 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I've got them on the Impala, their not bad. Decent cornering, and good dry/wet traction. Got them put on in April, so they haven't seen snow yet. Picked them up for $400, all 4 tires installed and balanced. There's a bit of road noise between 40-50 mph, but goes away once you speed up. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. Quote
Artemis Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I've got N3000's on my GTP. Love them, traction is great dry and wet. Quote
