MommyTaz022200 Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 When I bought my car the Antenna was snapped off. It's a power antenna, and the motor seems to be working. It makes noise when I turn my Stereo on the radio from CD's and when the car is turned on/off. My question is do I have to buy a whole new antenna with the motor or can I just buy a replacement for the broken part? If I can just buy the antenna I figure I'll get one from the junk yard, but if it's all one piece then I don't want to get one there cause I won't know if it works. Quote
GPRACER Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 You can't buy parts seperate, not from the dealer anyways, if you had another one say with the motor burned out you may be able to mix and match parts. Very tedious job though. You would have to wind up the plastic rod inside like a big spring. Pretty sure you would have to drill some rivets and replace them with nuts/bolts. I guess it depends on how much patience you have. Quote
