Making them run isn't all that bad, it costs like $425 to get the wiring and computer done, It's 5 wires to hook up. The drive by wire isn't scary to hook up or anything. You mount the new pedal and run 6 wires to it, I think it's easier than getting it to jive with the cable. People put that engine into all kinds of things. patgizz Posted September 16, 2009 Report Share Posted September 16, 2009 you guys are in love with GM electronics or afraid of modifying harnesses. send off the 5.3 harness/pcm to speartech, tell them what you want, make the mounts, drop it in and send power to and ground the harness, turn key. not quite that simple but LS stuff is so well supported that the technology is there.
