Leadfoot
Ok, I believe my oil pan is leaking. Haynes manual says I have to drop the cradle. I was looking at it a week ago and it doesn't appear that I will need to. Has anyone done this before? Do I need to drop the cradle or not? Does the oil pan seal up against the timing cover? This is on my 94 Cutlass with the 3100 SFI motor. Also, the leak appears to be right under the oil filter. I know the filter is leaking, but is there anything on that housing / guard for the oil filter that could leak and make it appear my oil pan is leaking? 19Cutlass94
you need to either drop the cradle or raise the engine.

19Cutlass94
its much easier to drop the cradle. The lower motor mount bolts basically right on the block with a bolt going to to the oil pan. Youll need to drop that side of the cradle enough to get the motor mount and bracket out of the way to get the to oil pan bolts.
