dohc v6
I was looking at Bob's rear coil over thread and got me thinking, man I would really like to house my Koni's in a coil over set-up. So I went ahead and placed an order to get the springs (hypercos-500lbs), Nuts and sleeves. I had to custom design a top hat that is being made, the ones are there now are all just for mock up, they don't even work at ALL. But Overall I think these will be rocking once powder coated and full machined. By the way these lower the car 4" automatically. I can adjust the another 2.5" without blowing the shock where as the KYB's will blow after 1.5". That means a 6.5" drop in the back. I am thinking about going to a smaller spring so I can go another 2". The 12" spring is just a little to long. BXX
Very nice mark.. Im definately gonna go with Hyperco springs when i redo everything... Now from the looks of it, those struts are just gutted stock struts, threaded inside at the top, using what looks like a nut for our strut cartridges and Koni cartridges??? Now im intriuged... Mind if I ask what part number those Koni inserts are??? Because ima thinkin I might just have those strut mounts redesigned a little to use those Konis... BXX
Actually for now though Mark, I would like to have my current design done.. It will be used on my CS for DD duties.. I did get your email so if you have any other questions on measurements, shoot me another email. However I would love more details on what I see there and what you are going to be doing for my next W which I am currently stock piling parts for...
