old442man
no time unfortunately. i'm helping my dad put a new engine in his 48 chevy soon on top of my other stuff. i'm heading out to the garage now to make some templates and build some frame parts for the front. i want to get it rolling so i can bring it outside and do most of the welding out of the garage for ventilation and fire prevention reasons. FYI and you probably already know this but there's an aerosol anti-splatter that will keep the slag from sticking. With that thin sheet metal you'll be working by that might not be a bad idea. patgizz
i learned from the best, my dad has certifications in just about every type of welding out there except underwater i've been welding for about 15 years and have done everything from building full frames to hanging body panels and everything in between. i even get paid for it sometimes

patgizz
Now that is some impressive stuff Pat, will definitely have to check that out some time. my new control arm bushings came, have to get to my dad's garage and press them in. had to torch the bolts out when taking the arms off the lumina parts car. my press, big compressor, and parts washer are still over at his place. pretty well have figured out the front end but the car is sitting a little while as i mess with the vette. welding will commence once i'm driving the corvette again, sick of watching it sit there and not run. couple that with work being insanely busy and i don't have time to do much of anything. rejetting the belair after work and running out to the track tomorrow to go faster than i did in the fall.
