MommyTaz022200
I'm installing them in my sister's 2000 Cavalier. There's a red wire that goes to the parking lights. There's a red/black wire on an O-ring. Directions say nothing as far as where to hook it. Anyone know where? Is that one an extra wire in case your hooking them to a toggle switch? No instructions what-so-ever? Companies are getting lazy these days... You should be able to splice into the exisiting instrument panel wiring. If you want the gauge to come on with the lights, install / connect according to instructions. For a toggle switch, you'll may need to read up on electrical hook-ups. I would say that using the existing system with the gauge on with headlight is the best way. Red = your positive lead Black / Red = that's a new one... umm... :?: What other color wires are with the gauges? - Erik

Perhaps... Altough I've got to believe with the red stripe, it's something more. But that's for an Electrical Engineer... If you've got a multi-meter you could find out real quick what it is. - Erik

Redfox340
yea it is weird. Wait a minute... Doesn't those gauges have a brightness rotary switch? To increase / decrease brightness of the 'glow'? - Erik
PaPaPooh
when i do a search on msn on glo gauges all i come up with is the in dash cluster is that what you are putting in?
MommyTaz022200
I got them working. The o-ring wire was the ground. The gages are by Otto Racing. You can change them from Blue to Green and they do have a dimmer switch. My sister liked them better then SppedHut's because there isn't the big ring of glowing color by the needles. They look pretty nice in her car. I wish I could find some that are for my car, but all the Grand Prix ones are for 94+. Mine's a 93 with the sports cluster, and they don't even sell the benzel plates for my gages.
