Crazy K Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I got a set of factory brackets modifed. basically a 1/2 strip of metal was welded on one side. imagine the outer bracket with a brace that runs across the outside edge... making the "C" shape into a "D" shape... Quote
GP4U2NV Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 are you saying that I can put this bar in???? Using a trailor strap and (es) bushings? Quote
Crazy K Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 are you saying that I can put this bar in???? Using a trailor strap and (es) bushings? I am using stock bushings with the stock mount, and had to get someone to weld the blocking bar in, which keeps the bushing from popping out from the outward pushing force of the bar. the ES bushings may be strong enough to work if you compress the bar, but I cannot guarantee it. GP4U2NV Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 This bar. The thickest one. and installation: Is this on your regal? Or a Cutty or what? I would reather use my bar as I had it powder coated also, I would like something more that the small bar. Quote
Crazy K Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 that is 1loudcutty's car. I helped put it on, and he traded me something for the bar in the first place. Quote
GP4U2NV Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 Well, hummm..... Wonder why it wont fit. His cutty and my GP are the same thing running the same set up. Quote
BXX Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Well, hummm..... Wonder why it wont fit. His cutty and my GP are the same thing running the same set up. Mine fits fricken perfect... Couldnt fit any better.. Ken used the wratchet strap to install it on mine but that proved unneccessary.. The bar is the exact proper length as whats needed.. With the Gen 2 lateral links the bar should fit right in without issues. Quote
BXX Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Oh, and I will try to get some good pics this weekend if I have time.. I want to get my ES poly bushings installed on the rear sway bar anyway... Quote
