We have a blazer s10 with a vortec thats going to the yard this week. Im salvaging the k&n system, audio etc. Anything such as tb, sensors etc. I should strip that may be useful on the 3.1?

I gotta add this :yea I know the vortec is a 90 degree. lol

I belive its a 94 or at least that model, its my mothers truck and the trannys slipping bad from what she tells me ( yet I took the thing up and down country roads and she drove perfect  ) never the less its goin to the yard cause she got a new van( lame ).

Anyway if your looking for parts it has a authentic k&n system Im definitely taking off, its going realllll soon so if you need parts let me know as soon as you can, Im actually stripping it tonight so let me know.

buy it off of her. you can get it fixed for around $900 if you take the trans out and put it back in yourself (letting a shop rebuild it though). thats what me and my dad did with his '88 blazer and it runs great. the 90* 4.3L V6 is a strong long lasting engine. and the vortec makes decent power too.

Please keep this powertrain related, any FS inquirys can be directed to the OPs PM box or he can make a FS/part out thread in other cars if he wants.

It has some body issues also, I already need to swap a hood on the gp. Two projects would be too much and I wanna put full attention on the prix.

If what is wrong can be fixed quick, do so and craig's list it. otherwise, send it off cheap on craiglist. running truck for $750 > $100-200 as scrap 7 days a week.

I have a friend who is interested in buying the whole thing from you. However, you still have not answered the question of where you are located. Also, is this 4WD?

I believe he's down near NYC/Long Island area.

That being said, put it on Craigslist "$500 firm, clear title, trans slipping. Needs work. Sold As-is. Must go today" and you'll probably have 2-20 emails/calls from people offering to come get it.
