The kit comes with photo instructions. The only problem I had was with the plastic fuel hose, the corrogated one from the pump to the module connection. The one end went on the pump fine, but the other end wouldn't stay on. The plastic hose was too soft I think, it stretched out too much. I ended up using a piece of rubber fuel injection hose, I had to cut it to the length it would be with the module compressed so it wouldn't kink, clamped it on, and put it all back in the tank. I've only driven the car about 100 miles and everything seems fine, but how long do you guys think that rubber hose will last in there? Obviously the rubber is made to be in constant contact with the fuel, but what about the rubber on the outside of the hose? Or is it all the same. mfewtrail
Frank, the hose should be the same throughout. When you buy a fuel pump for an older w-body for example, you can replace the "pulsator" in the tank or simply put a piece of fuel line in it's place. I've done fuel pump jobs that are 4-5+ years old now and the fuel line is obviously still in good shape as the cars still run flawlessly. 95 vert
Agreed, every pump I've done got the pulsator pitched and a piece of rubber hose put in it's place.
frank b
Thanks guys. By the way, the pump in this kit is a little bit louder than the original, but it seems to be working just fine. I like that it's louder, I can hear it come on.
